The Lone Wolf Spy Hunt (1939)
„The Lone Wolf Spy Hunt“ is a 1939 adventure film directed by Peter Godfrey. The screenplay by Jonathan Latimer is based on the character of the „Lone Wolf”, a jewel thief turned private detective, from a series of novels written by Louis Joseph Vance between 1879 and 1934.
A blend of comedy and thrills, and the best of the „Lone Wolf“ series, with William making his debut as the jewel thief. The Wolf is abducted by a band of crooks who force him to steal secret anti-aircraft plans. William takes only half of the plans. This enables him to track down the crooks and the documents.
