The King Of Kings (1927)

„The King Of Kings“ is a 1927 historical drama silent film directed by Cecil B. DeMille froma a story by Jeanie Macpherson.

After driving the sin out of Mary Magdalene and raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus enters into Jerusalem, where Judas conspires to have him turned over to the authorities. After the Last Supper, Jesus goes to Gethsemane, where he is taken prisoner, and thereafter tried under Pontius Pilate and crucified. He is buried and, as foretold in scripture, resurrected three days later.

„König der Könige“ (The King Of Kings) ist ein historisches Stummfilmdrama aus dem Jahr 1927 unter der Regie von Cecil B. DeMille nach einer Geschichte von Jeanie Macpherson.

Nachdem er die Sünde aus Maria Magdalena ausgetrieben und Lazarus von den Toten auferweckt hat, zieht Jesus in Jerusalem ein, wo Judas eine Verschwörung anzettelt, um ihn den Behörden auszuliefern. Nach dem letzten Abendmahl geht Jesus nach Gethsemane, wo er gefangen genommen und anschließend unter Pontius Pilatus vor Gericht gestellt und gekreuzigt wird. Er wird begraben und, wie in der Heiligen Schrift vorhergesagt, drei Tage später wieder auferweckt.
