„The Eagle and the Bear“ is a 1985 thriller film directed by Lee H. Katzin. The screenplay by Stephen Nathan and Paul B. Price  is based on a story by Andrew Britt and Jeff Silverman.

A Santa Monica private detective is kidnapped by a defecting KGB agent on the run from two other KGB agents who want to stop his defection. After the agents make it safely to the State Department the two become friends and slowly form an unbeatable partnership.

Nachdem es den Agenten gelungen ist, sicher zum Außenministerium zu gelangen, freunden sich die beiden an und bilden langsam eine unschlagbare Partnerschaft.
