„Interlude“ is a 1968 romance drama film directed by Kevin Billington from a screenplay by Lee Langley, Hugh Leonard, loosely based on the 1957 screenplay by James M. Cain.

Oskar Werner stars as a world famous symphony conductor who is attracted to a lovely young journalist, despite the difference in their ages and the fact that he is married. Increasingly distracted from his work, Werner discover's the affair heads only to disaster.
