„High Flyers“ is a 1937 musical comedy film directed by Edward Cline. The screenplay by Benny Rubin, Bert Granet and Byron Morgan is based on the 1926 play „The Kangaroos“ by Victor Mapes.

Two men running a carnival airplane ride are hired to fly to retrieve what they think are photos for a reporter. Actually, they are retrieving diamonds stolen from a noted gem dealer.

As it turns out, their plane crashes on the very estate of the dealer. Thinking the duo are police officers, the dealer offers his home for their convalescence from the accident. Meanwhile, the diamonds have been snatched by a kleptomaniac dog and buried on the estate. When the smugglers track down the pair, they try to convince the dealer that they are officials from an institution from which the two have escaped. Before long, the carnival fellows, the crooks, the gem dealer and his family, along with a platoon of cops, are tearing up the grounds to find where the dog has buried the diamonds.

Zwei Männer, die ein Jahrmarktsflugzeug betreiben, werden angeheuert, um die vermeintlichen Fotos für einen Reporter zu holen. In Wirklichkeit holen sie Diamanten zurück, die einem bekannten Edelsteinhändler gestohlen wurden.
Zwei Männer, die ein Jahrmarktsflugzeug betreiben, werden angeheuert, um zu fliegen und Fotos für einen Reporter zu besorgen. In Wirklichkeit holen sie Diamanten ab, die einem bekannten Edelsteinhändler gestohlen wurden. Wie sich herausstellt, stürzt ihr Flugzeug genau auf dem Anwesen des Händlers ab. Der Händler hält die beiden für Polizeibeamte und bietet ihnen sein Haus an, damit sie sich von dem Unfall erholen können. In der Zwischenzeit wurden die Diamanten von einem kleptomanischen Hund erbeutet und auf dem Anwesen vergraben. Als die Schmuggler die beiden aufspüren, versuchen sie, den Händler davon zu überzeugen, dass sie Beamte einer Einrichtung sind, aus der die beiden geflohen sind. Es dauert nicht lange, bis die Karnevalisten, die Gauner, der Edelsteinhändler und seine Familie zusammen mit einem Trupp Polizisten das Gelände durchkämmen, um herauszufinden, wo der Hund die Diamanten vergraben hat.
