Perlin noise

Perlin noise is a type of algorithmic noise used in computer graphics to create natural-looking patterns and textures, such as clouds, fire, and mountains. It is often used to generate procedural content, such as terrain in video games and animated films. Perlin noise was developed by Ken Perlin in 1983 and has since become a widely used technique in computer graphics.
